A rebrand announcement should reduce confusion. Customers need to know what is changing, what is staying the same and whether they need to do anything.
Explain the reason in plain language
State why the business is updating its name, visual identity, product positioning or website. The explanation can be short, but it should be honest and specific enough to build confidence.
Answer customer questions early
Will existing accounts, contracts, support contacts or product access change? Is the legal business name changing? When will the new brand appear? Include these answers in the announcement and link to a help page when more detail is needed.
Keep the transition consistent
Update the website, social profiles, email signatures, support pages and public listings around the same time. Use a temporary note such as “formerly known as” where useful so returning customers can recognise the business.
Make the announcement shareable
Use a clear headline, a concise summary, an approved logo or visual and a link to the official rebrand page. Give media and partners one reliable source of information.
A successful rebrand does not rely on a dramatic message. It earns trust by making the transition simple, clear and well documented.
